CHAPTER 01 is built around a repeated window in New York. The view is filmed and photographed until it stops behaving as scenery and becomes a record of time, weather, room life, and who was allowed to stand there.
The chapter holds winter, glass, night recordings, a temporary room, a desk, camera equipment, unshared writing, and the strange pressure of remaining in a city after the expected reason for staying has thinned out.
