CHAPTER 00 / LOCATING
Coordinates begin to assemble.

CHAPTER 01 / THE SAME WINDOW
New York. The same window, recorded until it stops looking like a view.
纽约。同一扇窗。

CHAPTER 02 / NO SIGNAL
Daqing, Qiqihar, Arxan. The map fails before the traveler does.
大庆，齐齐哈尔，阿尔山。

CHAPTER 03 / HOMETOWN
Nantong, Huai'an, Changshu. Low altitude. This is enough. The next day it is not.
南通，淮安，常熟。

CHAPTER 04 / ASCENT
Qinghai and 泰山. The measured distance one is allowed to walk away.
青海与泰山。

CHAPTER 05 / BRISBANE
Brisbane. The city that became another city to miss New York from.
布里斯班。

CHAPTER 06 / AFTERIMAGE
Black and white. The camera remembers the leaving before I do.
黑白。相机比我更早。

A text file at the edge. It remains open.

## Notes

This site is best read on desktop. The interface is the archive's outer shape; the files inside the windows are its contents. There is no recommended order. The reader is not expected to find a beginning.

## Languages

Two operating languages: English and 中文 (mixed).
Two languages enter through shared graphs: 漢字 (Japanese kanji) and 한자 (Korean hanja) appear as embedded characters where they belong, not as parallel translations.

The four languages of 2024–2025:
- English — the language I wrote in.
- 中文 — the language of family, return, and the work's underlying thought.
- 日本語 (漢字 only) — the language of what I was reading.
- 한국어 (한자 only) — the language of the bathroom I shared, and of the company my mother worked for.
